Dow Electrical & Telecommunications Signs Multiple DOW INSIDE Licensees
Wednesday, Oct 05, 2011
Dow Electrical & Telecommunications (Dow E&T), a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, is demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the power, electronics and telecommunications industries through the signing of several DOW INSIDE license agreements with key customers in the strategic and fast-growing geographic regions of eastern Europe and Asia Pacific.
A recent initiative, DOW INSIDE benefits cable manufacturers, utilities and telecommunications service providers by enabling enhanced component and system reliability, and long service life from dedicated R&D, deep industry knowledge and state of the art materials used to manufacture wires and cables according to strict international standards. Under the terms of the DOW INSIDE agreement, each licensee uses DOW ENDURANCE™ insulation, semi-conductive and jacketing materials to manufacture electronics wiring and/or medium and high voltage power cables. In exchange, Dow E&T will provide the companies with cutting edge technologies, proven products and enhanced service that benefit both the customer and Dow in a demanding market. In addition, Dow E&T will offer co-marketing opportunities to support DOW INSIDE partners.
Under these agreements, Licensees will be allowed to market their products with a logo comprised of the “DOW DIAMOND” followed by the word “INSIDE” when they use wire insulating and jacketing materials produced by Dow.
The following four companies have signed DOW INSIDE licenses:
· Chongqing Taishan Cable Co. Ltd. (licensee – China)
· Sevkabel Holding (licensee – Russia)
· Uncomtech Group (licensee – Russia)
· PT SUCACO Tbk (licensee – Indonesia)
“’DOW INSIDE’ marketing is a key component of our strategy to continue aggressive growth while offering total solutions to our existing and prospective customers in a competitive market,” said Tim Laughlin, General Manager, Dow Electrical & Telecommunications.
